For everyone who lost their job. It’s not easy. My heart goes out to you, and I hope you will be back on your feet soon. I know it may sound stupid or condescending atm, but it may be a good thing that happened to you. This is not a place to regret leaving. Try to find a place where you will feel more appreciated and satisfied, and give yourself a break in the meantime. Good luck.

It may really sting now, but you will be relieved to be done with that place! It is not the same company as it was 5-10 years ago and no one gives a darn about anyone other than themself! Best of luck on your job search, but be happy to have cut the cord from that cess pool
Honestly, thank you for saying this, because as a working mom who got the news that I was being let go this morning, I needed to read this. Ignore the other comment. Thank you for posting this out there, it means a lot. I've already gone through some of the grieving process & you're absolutely right on every point.
The person was likely being genuine. It’s definitely a world changer to those who were affected, but people who are left unaffected still feel it. I think the attitude showing is more in the person replying and saying “grow up kid”. Maybe you should work harder.
This shows your fcking attitude who has job in fidelity....Grow up Kid.
