There isn’t a publicly released “formula” for severance pay and one of the conditions of receiving it is non-disclosure. Given that the law doesn’t require them to pay you anything, your choice is to take what is offered and move on or don’t take it and move on. In other words, not much of a choice. It was “enough” in my case.

Regarding sick days pay out - no one gets unused sick days paid whether you leave voluntarily or as a layoff. It's a policy in the current employee manual, but you will get accrued vacation paid. Can anyone share the severance formula for years of service? or does everyone get the same package (not talking about directors and above)

Use those sick days because they won’t pay you for them if you’re laid off!!

"They’re definitely being quiet and acting odd (mgmt)"

Agreed, have seen even some that were sensibly critical of things going on in the past, coming from above, turn into company shills the last couple of months/weeks.

Maybe they are afraid of being let go in the supposed next go around since this company is so overpopulated in the middle to middle/upper management roles.

Rumor has it Eccles is announcing whatever the DV changes are going to be in the next week or two (end of March, beginning of April). Some groups in DV have already started to hear of some re-alignment, responsibility changes, etc. Still nothing official. Some of the folks that knew about what was coming last year are not in the loop this year, or are just flat out lying about not knowing. But word on the street is that it's all very hush hush and only known by senior leadership.

Meetings getting rescheduled with no explanation… new initiatives stalling… just like what happened in Dec-Jan, but I chalked that up to the holidays, rather than impending layoffs. Will there be another hype session led by Eccles before the guillotine comes out again? Are the Madames DeForge in CWS knitting the names of coworkers to be laid off into scarves?

The previous 'sizeable' layoff was early April 2023, so most likely a repeat for April 2024.

Posts like this don't help anyone. If you have actual information share it. Otherwise this just gives people anxiety.
