Been here for decades but never come across one union member or been on calls with any. It's specifically forbidden to even discuss the topic as far as I can tell. So what's the deal? Is there any benefit to being in the union? Do Lumen union workers go along with all this latest non-sense? Brene brags about being from a proud telcom union family. I wonder what would happen if the techs tried to organize? I bet that would be the limit to any 'wokeness' LOL.

Call your union president, not rep. Apparently, Lumen never told the union either. YEP!!! If you do not have the number Google it. I’d like to say I hope Lumen pulls out of this but it is so vividly clear. Put a timeline together….you cannot miss it.
One of best things I did was find a great job with more pay, clear expectations, growth opportunities into “real” positions not an inflated made up one kind of job you don’t go to work s everyday sick to you stomach.
What is amazing is with so many at Lumen who are very educated, then why doesn’t any of them down to frontline workers file complaints or even a law suit. There are so many things they have and are violating and now it is destroying peoples lives, careers, and families. If I still worked there I’d be first in line to start the process.
Best wishes to all who lost their jobs and from I’ve heard from several people in positions there with credible info. Bottom line, there will be a lot more layoffs in April and first part of May.
IBEW Local 206 fights whenever it has ground to stand on with regard to our collective bargaining agreement. You are always better off being in a union.
“ Lumen stock is kicking a-s!!!”……
That’s funny.
Lumen stock is kicking a-s!!!
“ if you really knew anything you’d just keep your pie hole shut.”…….
Go take some classes on being civilized, until them, shut your c*ck holster bro.
Nah, just bi--hing about the 5 years we didn’t get a raise while being passed in pay by the other telcos. Bi--hing about the pension not being increased in over 20 years. Bi--hing about the decrease in the 401k Match. Bi--hing about the allowance of prem techs into the contract. Continue? Ok. Bi--hing about being told health care costs wouldn’t go up but they did anyway. Bi--hing about being told gps would be used for routing purposes not disciplinary. Yea, getting over 39 bucks an hour (not 38) is nice. Failing to keep up with inflation isn’t. There’s so much more than pay that the union has failed it’s dues paying members that if you really knew anything you’d just keep your pie hole shut.
But you’re not bi--hing about the 38.00/ hr though. 🤔
The union has been utterly pathetic since the late US West days. CWA (Company Wins Again) spent just a few hours for the last contract. No ba--s, such a shame and sham.
