Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Quitting or give notice?

If I plan to give notice, should I be concerned about being let go as I give my notice? Everyone who leaves seems to disappear out of nowhere and I need to plan accordingly. Does Cigna allow for two weeks notice? I work remotely for Medicare & I don’t expect my supervisor to take this well

I gave notice in January and they had me work until the end.

Cigna will lay you off or fire you for a made up reason without any notice. Why would you give them a courtesy they won’t give you?

Unless you plan on using your manager as a direct reference, HR will not mark you down as not qualifying for a rehire in the future.

Do what is best for you, not for a mega corporation that does not care about you in the slightest.

If you already have a new job lined up, might as well give 2 weeks and end things on a good note. Unless you have some sort of good reason like a mean boss or something similar, don't just quit.

You can always talk to your manager that you need two weeks notice to sort all the paperwork. Unless you are joining a competition, there should not be a big issue from a managers side. Why are you quitting by the way, just curious.
