Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Is everyone excited to move to the rust belt state of Ohio?

Has anyone really thought this through? The talent pool needed is going have to come from out of state/country & its not exactly a vacation destination. Cultural dynamics? Lack of local Infrastructure? Anything? Crickets...

Don't pack your bags yet... The Ohio site will likely just be an expensive empty shell of a factory.

Born and raised in Ohio. There were many reasons to leave and I will NEVER go back. Rebuttal to last post: Ignorance to reailty is not a good look.

People who never left the west coast are funny. Scared of everywhere else is not a good look.

Nope, land of Trump and obnoxious lifted trucks. I worked very hard to get out of that backwards state. Makes the Hillsboro hillbil--es seem cultured.

Or you can make it an opportunity. Why don’t you buy rental property by selling RSUs and then rent to Intel employees who will first move there? Just a thought. You could bank on this and if you end up having to relocate, well you’d already have a duplex to call home lol
