Absolutely! Road to success, fail is manger, demote to design. Then weasel your way back into management and up to director in less than two years, only to be demoted to made up position. Sounds like someone is protected. $150-200K to be tour guide? Demotion sounds great, sign me up.
Mattel should be judged for what they do , not what they say. Great benefits but treat people poorly, over pay execs, promote people who fail to perform, promote bullies, and stiff UCLA Children’s Hospital.
Absolutely not for a c-suite that treats their people like animals. I’d do it for a family company that knows what humans are though.
I would never accept a demotion, it’s to insulting.
Of course they know, so does HR. That's why some incompetent employees are still around, despite not just being completely useless, or worse. They'll only go as far as demoting them twice, and create a special position for them, instead of getting rid of them. How do you get demoted twice? Were your parents classmates?
