Change Healthcare doesn't exist; it is now Optum. This is a UHG/Optum disaster not Change Healthcare. They acquired the company and gutted it. All top level IT security leadership was let go in the Layoffs. They moved the functions under Optum who had zero understanding of the products etc. The teams had no leadership. This is their issue now. They didn't know what they were doing.

UHG/Optum acquired Change Healthcare to get their hands on the Clearinghouse data. They got it and that is all they cared about. They rif'd all of the leadership of the former company and now they are paying the price for their greed!

Congratulations to UHG/Optum for putting themselves in the limelight. Karma has gotten you. Every regulator will now have their day! They can't wait. The class action lawsuits will be rolling in, so much for a disaster recovery plan. This is what happens when you are greedy.

For those of us who have been rif'd, this front row seat on the sidelines is priceless. So glad to be outta there!

Medium is not a news outlet. It’s a social platform, generally blogs, where anyone can post on - even me. Information to be judged on a case by case basis, based on author, not platform.

Don't why the post regarding Medium is being downvoted. If everyone thinks Medium is an impartial media and news provider, they are being willfully ignorant. It just so happens that this specific article is playing along with the current trend of bashing Optum/CHC. Tomorrow Medium will be posting how criminals should be sharing your private home, how your gas stove is destroying the planet, and why your misuse of pronouns will bring an end to all existence.

It's 100 Percent downplaying. Total chaos and mismanaged. CEO needs to be testified front of congress. It is complete Healthcare Disaster in modern day tech by greedy Leadership in Optum/UHC/CHC.

Be active. Tell media organizations and local government representatives.

The DOJ anti-trust division needs to investigate and hopefully break up the conglomerate monopolizing the industry. Pharmacies might be able to switch providers, and end the downtime, if competitors were still available.
