Welp, bonus happened. How many turned in their notices? LOL!

Take a walk in the parking garage. I have counted twenty 25-year employee parking spots with names recently removed. I will also be leaving soon. I no longer respect the USAA business practices, and I do not want my name associated with it.
Just put my notice in with no job lined up. With bonus as a cushion, betting on myself to find a better situation.
Leaving .. got a much better paid job with a rival bank.

You realize the bonus just paid out a few days ago, right? When I left last year, it was 2 months after the bonus, the job process took about 7 weeks from applying, interview then offer. I’m happier now than I was my last 2 years with USAA, doing the same job with TD Bank that I was with USAA, just more money and full time remote.
I’ve put in my notice. Very excited for the future. I’d guess most leaving are just happy about moving forward. This site tends to be about commiserating on being stuck at USAA more than celebrating the joy of moving on.
Haha crickets. Where are all the big talkers now?
