Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

This company does not deserve our dedication, hard work and loyalty

Do we need more proof beyond yesterday that we are wasting our time here? I saw and heard about our colleagues not being granted basic consideration, managers hiding from employees, people being escorted like criminals. It was all indecent and cowardly. Maybe I’m old school, but I see no point in being an a--hole on the top of disrupting someone’s life. This company does not deserve our dedication, hard work and loyalty.

The automation won’t work. With the BP config errors and the god awful winom things are going to error out and fail. It will be more trouble than just configuring it at a desk by a tech. The management there is a joke. The team I directly worked with was great but above them is just incompetent smoke blowing yes men.

Don’t attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by incompetence.

This company has no clue what they are doing is horribly mismanaged and run. All of the tribulations are a result of that. It’s a top down catastrophe, and a culture full of no accountability.

Hey, didn't you get the email from Mary Micheals, Chief Human Resources Officer, that today is employee appreciation day?

To send an email like this, right on the heels of yet another covert layoff that we're not going to acknowledge, is a slap in the face to all of us.

I been saying since bankruptcy that all levels of leadership are spineless yes men. They only care about themselves. I can guess the top are coming up with ways to automate as much as they can and outsource the rest. When it fails the top won't take responsibility and will blame the lower tiers. A she'll game of responsibility really.
