Are VPs/heads of departments hosting follow up meetings to connect with their teams? Some departments have had multiple cuts and am hearing that there is no acknowledgement from their top-line leaders about losing team members. No empathy or care and concern for those who have left and for those who are still with Cigna enduring the stress and anxiety.

My VP was laid off, and we were told that there would not be an org announcement about it. So there was a lot of gossip around it, and then a few of our high hitter business partners started getting laid off. Very unfortunate because they were amazing at their roles and the women now picking up the slack are terrible at the role.
No meetings or notifications here. Finding out by chance mostly.
It seems to be up to the individual leaders. Some of them have no empathy and aren’t even having calls with their teams to acknowledge and explain what happened. Some are, but won’t even say the names of those who were impacted, like they never existed. It’s not like we don’t all know within a day!
And Cordani still refuses to be a leader and publicly acknowledge what is happening and take some responsibility. He just hides in his secluded office or on the Cigna private jet. He has sadly become completely out of touch with the lowly employees. It’s depressing because I used to have a high opinion of him.
It’s not been the norm. Some PM’s have pulled together meetings but it wasn’t for checking on them, it was to check that they had access to everything they needed due to team members leaving. No empathy or compassion. These Teams are struggling and it’s being looked over and ignored.
