Riverbed missed the boat by buying acedo instead of building SDWAN into SH and then moving into SASE, as it’s the SASE companies (that so many Riverbedder have moved to) that have made Riverbed irrelevant. So much of what Riverbed is trying to sell is built into (and done much better by) SASE offerings.
There’s a reason why so many Riverbedders ended up at the SASE companies - there’s a lot of domain overlap.

Customers are looking under the AI hood and beyond the marketing bs. 2024, another year of smoke and mirrors and reselling dinosaurs with limited new features of no real world value. RB is an AI embryo and isolated in a observability playground where all the other mature AI children can openly communicate freely with their third party integration friends. NetIM is the ba----d deformed son which the riverbed family refuse to discuss but can’t be ignored as a key requirement for IQ.
Riverbed wouldn’t be Riverbed if they weren’t 5 years behind everyone else. With no innovation, all they could do is wrap new buzzwords and trends around their obsolete products/services and call it new. Just more lipstick on a pig.
