After 28 years I got RIFed today. My email access cut off immediately. Pretty low brow treatment. Bad news YOU are next. Sad place to have worked.

Very sorry. I’m also a long time employee. Made this cut, but i recommend that everyone take control and have a backup plan b. Another source of income stream. A business, side hustle that drives passive income. I’ve learned that a long time ago and if I were iris’s, it would definitely sting my ego and my pockets, but I was intentional about having a plan b too. Do it!!!
Sorry you got let go. It's standard practice to cut off email right away. I doubt there are any companies that operate differently.
Sorrow to hear that. Did they offer severance package? If yes, how many weeks for 28 years? Do they pay unused vacation?
Been there. Quick to cut off email, slow to pay properly for the unused vacation.

I too got the Xerox boot today. Agree not a nice place - totally bogus on who got let go and why.
Agree-they will and do get rid of anyone.
