Lower bonuses

Anyone notice that bonus amounts (if you get them) were lower this year? I’ve heard from a few colleagues that bonuses were lower despite the percentage increase.

Who got an extra raise? Are you kidding me? I can tell you I was not one of those people benefiting from the imaginary extra raise lol - not only no raise but no bonus or anything else. AND I exceeded CPH - no audit errors & 100% quality. Nice that your complaining that you got a bonus and BOO WHOO they taxed it - just stop

You got an extra raise!! The bonus folks did not. The extra raise actually is more than a bonus in the long run. The bonus is taxed more than half. I received a 7% bonus this year, it was much less than a coworker who received the extra raise. I questioned HR if I could have the extra raise instead of the bonus and I was denied. I am currently looking for a different position that is not a bonus level for this reason.

Yes, anyone with a job letter grade of M and on received bonuses! To those that are complaining about it being lower than years past, just be quiet! It’s pretty sad that for the last 5 years everyone got a bonus but this year we only recognize half of the organization. Way to go Centene & Sarah!

The pool was less, so yes bonuses were lower. But also there’s a renewed focus on pay for performance…so more cutting in meets to give more to exceeds+.

I don’t understand how anyone in upper management can complain about a low bonus. I have read comments of overworked, non promoted employees that have been overlooked by non productive leaders. If leadership stays happy receiving bonuses and all employees at lower pay levels leave, who will do the work? It’s pathetic no one is advocating for their employees. Just give all non qualified bonus people a week off so we can see what gets done if we aren’t valued.

You must be in upper management to get a bonus. Must be nice. The rest of us who didnt get one are too busy picking up the extra work left by those who were laid off or who quit b/c they couldnt take the mismanagement and hypocrisy and insanity that is Centene.

I agree with the above poster. Its shameful that your post is about why you didn't get more instead of supporting those that didn't get anything at all. You are so welcome for whatever extra money you received off the backs of the people being twisted into pretzels to do the additional work & meet those metrics of the people that got laid off with all of their incentives and bonuses pulled because Centene is too busy making $165 billion in revenue while simultaneously losing their bids on TriCare contracts, losing their Medicaid contracts, and being sued by multiple states for Medicaid fraud.

I don't even get a bonus anymore because it goes to the rest of you but it's nice to see your concern is in how much rather than the fact you still get one when the few incentives the rest of us had have also been taken away. And you're welcome on behalf all the employees who worked to meet those numbers so that you could get a bonus this year.
