Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Question

Do you guys think, that perhaps one of the/or possibly, the main reason why the company is becoming more toxic and hostile to work for is because they want us to quit rapidly rather than let us go since layoffs and firings cost more?
The only reason I’m asking is because from everything I’ve personally experienced here, from hearing about what many others have experienced, the removal of incentives and bonuses, the low raises, the sudden increase of “you’ve reached ur max salary”… like.. to me, it feels like they purposely want us to leave.. because why else would a company, other than save money, would push such a negative/toxic agenda/environment to the employees.
Everything is always decided, and they know the consequences. I

P.s- for anyone who defends the low raises as “at least it’s something.” Don’t! Absolutely do not. Imagine you work your a-s off all year, doing things that you should not be doing, meeting all the quotas and requirements, passing your QAs/stats and then when the time comes you only get a raise from anywhere between .30-.97 cents. Should not be allowed. Wages need to match the demand of the work. Not even asking for anything crazy, but definitely not anything less than a dollar raise.

We just had a meeting we were talked to very harshly. Leader seemed really mad at all of us then, Requested we treat each other with dignity and be respectful. I wondered who has not been respectful. I WAS SHOCKED and so was everyone else.

When I quit 2 months ago did I get an exit interview? Absolutely not! Why would they want to hear the real reasons behind the exodus of employees, with a good majority of them long term employees. I was with Centene for 6 years and the first 3 years were pretty great. Wow, what a nose dive into chaos the last 2 to 3 years have been. The Town Halls are a complete joke. Who cares what the CEO did last weekend. Give us the breakdown of how and why things are turning to sh-t.

Absolutely!! It started January 2023, no complaints or issues with me until then. And it’s been he-l since then and I’m certain the end goal is to push me to quit so there is no severance package. It’s so sad and infuriating.

Centene's motto is "More with Less". I don't think they care if people quit or not. All they care about is if they have someone there to do the job. If they can get it done for less, then even better.
