Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

I regret leaving my job to join DXC

Two years ago, I got an offer that came with a 20% pay bump. I was so happy and felt so lucky to be given such an opportunity, considering that I never worked at a large company before. I thought DXC was a godsend. Now, if I could, I'd go back in an instant. I'd take the 20% pay cut (I never got a raise) without thinking. There's nothing positive I can say about working here. Literally, nothing. Coming here was such a mistake.

I joined a few weeks ago and the company is dire. I hate every day. On the team calls the other employees are so angry about not getting raises, they keep hearing every excuse from above.

I can understand after the way they have been treated. The Manager is understanding as his in the same position.

I'm just going to use this as a jump in salary and move on. This place has no future until they start to treat the employees fairly.

I really hate this company, and am finding it harder and harder to find the motivation to even log in, let alone do anything. I can't imagine there being any pay rise this year, and even if there is, then it'll just be a token insult. Get your money elsewhere - it's not going to come from DXC!

its OK, you've suffered 2 years so doesn't look too bad on your CV/resume, move on to the next job - 2 years at DXC doesn't harm your career prospects too much, looks a reasonable timeframe to keep moving, its those with 5-10+ years that are stuck as the industry will see them as institutionalized and unlikely to hire (why would you pick someone who works so long for a poor employer with a decade of no bonuses or pay rises)?

It's a shame the Execs and Managers lie through thier teeth. They manipulate the financials every year to get thier raises, they play the employees along all year, then last minute don't pay up. The cycle is reapplied every year. The managers are a nail, and the folks are fed up of the situation, demoralised.

You made a bad move coming here best you can't do is do no work or leave for another company.

Considering the average pay raises of ~3% in the tech industry in the last few years, I would be blessed if I could get a 20% pay bump by switching job, even though I do not get a raise in the last couple years.
