got word earlier today that all 31 HNC's will be closing. No timeframe yet or word on what will be happening with the employees at the centers.

It’s terrible you pay all this money monthly from social security every month and it keeps going up every year and they decide to close community centers in Las Vegas so top executives can reap in more money for there bonuses
When I had Humana Medicare Advantage, I enjoyed and appreciated the Humana neighborhood center offerings. I'm sorry that this benefit is no longer available.
I’m just so sad the center has closed. It was such a great place for Humana insured people to learn more about Humana. Great place to meet and learn better ways to take care of your life. The crafts were also very good. So sad. Hopefully it will come back 🤞
I've been going to the meetings at HNC and been getting a lot of knowledge from there. Just started a few months ago. I'm very disappointed with the idea. I hope you would reconsider and keep them open. I have never enjoyed an insurance company with all I was getting from Humana. And now this company seems to be going backwards.
It's terrible to close these centers for seniors.
Your local senior center?
I think it's very Selfish of them to The centers. We need to have something like that around seniors. We look so forward. It's going to this several times a week now, What are we supposed to do now?
The core reason is medicare itself. Companies are going to be required to pay higher rates in 2025. Every company has been going through multiple rounds of layoffs and restructuring in order to be ready for it. Benefits will decrease in 2025 and companies are trimming whatever they can to keep their plans competitive.
What happens to part-time/VSP employees who don’t receive benefits to begin with?
Absolutely shocking they are doing this to their customers and their image within the Medicare landscape.
It looks so cheap to close up these places up especially since other companies are increasing neighborhood centers.
Someone made the wrong call on this.
So far we have been given no information on what will happen with employees at the centers. it sounds like they are going to try to move people around but no one really knows anything.
Isn’t Centerwell and their sites taking over the programming the centers did?
What will happen with the Health Educators?
This announcement really made me sad. I don't work with that group at all, but I loved that we had this program and I really enjoyed hearing about the things they were doing. Sad for the employees and for the members too!
Also would love to understand why they are doing this, as our competitors are growing their community center businesses (Optum just opened 3 in my city in the last 6 months). Seems like a weird thing to divest.
The members are going to be devastated. They love the staff they love the environment and they love the friendship they have made. Humana doesn’t care about nothing but themselves not even the members. It’s disgusting what they are doing to the employees who depend on their jobs and the members that depend of the locations for mental health.
Unfortunately it is. I know how much the members love these locations. Most employees will be fine, it's the members I'm worried about
How? The clients love those and really benefit from them. Is this for sure?
