Are you more at risk for lay off or “forced” exit if you are over 40 years old?
I understand the economics of employing more experienced workers (correlated to age).
However, with the number of over 40 people being impacted, it make me wonder how they are covering their rear ends from ADEA.
The Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA) protects certain applicants and employees 40 years of age and older from discrimination on the basis of age in hiring, promotion, discharge, compensation, or terms, conditions or privileges of employment.
