I heard this from the Thursday all hands meeting with Doug Fields.
The big one ☝🏿 is coming.
Brace for impact.

Without reason they cut ice head counts when ice was feeding e
Now e is not yielding any results
No wonder why they wouldnt cut there
For this f company people are just disposable
Only bo ot lickers and friends of family can survive in such a toxic environment

@1zvb+1rePDJeu so true. they never learn. remember the concept of "the learning organization"? just a joke, seeing all the three-peated mistakes. and we all pay for it.

@1fxb+1rePDJeu, if you think that managements have learned from the past, you have not been with Ford long enough. THEY NEVER LEARN.

  1. OP: fake news. Go pound sand
  2. My guess on 2024 layoff plans: very small pockets called TR (targeted release). In the past, management used to make large number of layoff to satisfy Wall Street, but that created a work disruption and as we know too well: bad quality. My guess again is that management has learned a lesson and changed their approach.

Small layoffs happen frequently at large companies. I think most of us are here for the mass layoffs.

There was a small layoff at Ford Credit in the past 2 weeks.

If this is not fake news then it's good for Ford.

There may be a big one. But what's been happening for the last 9 months is a lot of small layoffs. ~50 across the company. Enough to fly under the radar.

The people saying "no layoffs" are the feckless ostriches with their heads in the sand.

Does anyone know if ford credit had a layoff someone on LinkedIn just posted they were affected. They were a Java developer. Any news or updates?

This will never happen. Model E is the future of Ford Motor Company - both as an EV company and also as a Technology Company. I predict more people will need to be hired on the Model E team - especially people local to Dearborn area who can work IN the office and collaborate with colleagues.

Advice from another troll, they won’t announce a layoff of that magnitude in a town hall. The order of layoffs, is rumours from managers making lists along the topic being avoided at all town halls or skip level meetings. Then something gets noted in the press and gets confirmed one morning by Ford. Numbers won’t get noted. Finally, action happens and then it is acknowledged internally that some right size adjustments were made in some departments.

You can tell it’s the same troll each month with the “big one” comment along with finger pointing.

The guy must really be desperate for attention. Sad.

They don’t announce things like that in All-Hands Meetings.

However, they may have said something that the OP put together with some other info. If so, this needs to be explained or you can disregard it.
