Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Verint device tracking SW

The company is now projecting to save money by tracking everyone's device activities using Verint. With the goal of coaching for more productivity or eliminating under performers. Go to company portal and you will see it is ready to install. First it will be installed on the BPS folks as part of Delivery cost savings. This isn't the first go round with tracking workers devices and when it was happening the data that came through was cr-p and caused way more of a burden on leaders to analyze while providing zero value. I'm unconcerned - I have a good gig here so I stay - but I will get another job in a heartbeat if it gets installed and I start to be nagged about how many clicks I have on my computer

Side note on worrying about your job going to India - keep an eye on the job postings and which positions they are beefing up in India before you stress and prepare

It's ridiculous. I feel like I can't even get up from my desk. Has anyone figured out a way to beat this Verint system?

It's now installed on users and orgs who weren't even part of this illegal spying cr-p. Feels more like working on a prison camp with everything locked down, freedoms controlled by our masters with more lock downs coming. I am pi---d by this as this was intended for call center productivity for hourly workers. Exempt workers do not follow a set schedule and work all sorts of hours. Don't need big brother watching and listening to everything for their kicks.

Hahahahaha. Gainwell is utilizing dystopian spyware on it's employees. Why care about this company again?

This Verint app literally tracks everything that is done on the PC. It tells management what apps are open, how often each app is in focus. They can also create "triggers" that will automate tasks on your screen. It'll also screen scrape data off of applications/browsers.

I've heard of 2 people just today that have had their manager talk to them about their productivity. One does lots of meetings (20% of time for a week was non-productive), the other was about "mouse clicks" and taking to many "mini-breaks" in a day.

Talk about unethical.

Spying on employees in secret.

Layoffs in secret.

Restructuring in secret.

Signing contracts with false promises that they have no intention to deliver on.

A company that does shady things in secret is an indicator of the type of leaders they have.

It’s obvious the employee has no value.

Gainwell Technologies needs to be shut down.

It’s being pushed out to all PCs. Look in the company portal first. You can find the company portal by going to Start and scrolling down to Company Portal. You will see it here first. It will show up after a forced update to your PC. That will be one of those required reboots. If you don’t see it there yet then it hasn’t been pushed to your PC yet. But it will be sent to all PCs. If it is installed you can see it in control panel.

You may not see it there yet. But you will. It is being deployed to all PCs.

Look for something called Verint.

What a terribly company. Spying on their own employees without even telling them.

A little FYI...

You can uninstall this trash using the Control Panel. Seeing as how tech illiterate IT is here at Gainwell, they didn't think to restrict this. If you're uncomfortable or disagree with being treated like a child, feel free to "opt out" of this Verint spyware.

Whether or not this is a permanent solution, I can't say. They could easily push this cr-p out again and force another install.

I'm not sure why everyone is surprised by this at all. I know that I've been tracked on my work PC for YEARS. It tracks everything I do and my idle time. Management can actually see what I am doing on my PC. I'm not saying I agree with this but my management at least informed us about it.

Isn’t this evidence enough for ALL Gainwell employees to see how much the leaders value them?

You are dirt. An expense that is too high. You mean absolutely nothing. You can and will be let go without notice.

No sane person would go near Gainwell as an employee or as a customer if they knew how unethically they operated.

This company needs to burn to the ground. And all the leaders need arrested.

Every customer of this company is getting bent over and fu---d.

Absolutely horribe, in regards to this, what exactly was the program where everything is logged? "A year ago, the California account not only required the Verint back office installation, but also required the use of a program where one had to log everything you did."

This type of micromanagement is stiffling to employee moral not to mention the trust issues this signals.

A year ago, the California account not only required the Verint back office installation, but also required the use of a program where one had to log everything you did. If you opened an email, you needed to click to say you opened an email, type in what you were doing or select that you were viewing an email, and then when done you had to end the task. Everyone had and still has to do this for every task on the CA account (unless you are manager). All other accounts are following suit - several other states have begun the implementation of this as well. I left the company partially due to this reason, among other reasons - lack of pay after 10+ years of supporting several different accounts in several different roles. I would steer clear of working for Gainwell if you can!

Another sneaky and unethical move by Gainwell Technologies.

If they treat their own employees this way just imagine how little value they have for the customer. Unethical business practices for the customer as well. Just get them to sign the contract and then dont deliver. No intention to deliver.

It’s all about money for them.

That’s how trustworthy your CEO is. He approved the launch of such a thing. He-l he may have came up with the idea.

Dirt bags in the leadership team for sure.

This definitely isn’t how you right a sinking ship. It will only help it sink.

Playing Big Brother over the employees is a dirt bag move. Especially if you are not notified first. It’s a way to eliminate more people.

Good ole Gainwell showing us just how much they care.
