Absolute mo--ns running this organization for sure. I filled my senator Fetterman in on full scoop as I’ve been doing for about a year now. Tick tock.

Could not agree with you more!

The DOJ permitted the inappropriate acquisition of CHC by UHG/Optum. CHC was a well oiled machine, a company of intelligent, cutting edge individuals who cared about the work they did. They truly wanted to build a better healthcare system. They did thing the right way every day. Then UHG/Optum waltzes in and unravels the entire company and d-mbs it down. They are not a healthcare company, they are a rogue acquisition company that yields only to shareholder value as they continue to make money from sick people, denying claims, and raising rates.

The DOJ lost their case which is preposterous in and of itself. That judge should be dismissed. But then again, it's not nice to gloat over the current situation and misfortune being experienced here but it is definitely looking like PAY BACK which actually is more like PAYOUT - which will be in the form of security experts, data breach specialists, Government fines, penalties and monitoring, class action lawsuit payouts, loss of customers, etc. This is a massive disaster. They had it coming. Karma is brutal.

Offshoring is not effective; they are inept in security, the US healthcare system, and try to work like robots, however, the work requires thought and they don't think.

Anyway, it is a very sad day for CHC because UHG/Optum has not tarnished the CHC name and it's disgusting. CHC was a top notch organization... UHG/OPTUM is pathetic!
All they wanted was the data... oh well, now someone else has the data; it's payback time. Yeah, more layoffs, cuts, and other cost cutting activities will surely come out of this massive disaster.

Many of the people that were probably going to get laid off are probably saving the company right now.

This is what happens when you layoff people randomly just to get the ceo and all big fish bonus up but the downward chain people suffer.
Hackers do more system cracks. These people should know a good employee should not be laid off on their PTO

The best part about it was how they were laying off the info security team while their computers were getting ransacked w ransomware

It is concerning that the Department of Justice permitted the acquisition of CHC by UHG/Optum, as the integration process has evidently been chaotic. Unfortunately, the worst apprehensions have now materialized. Cheap labor means cheap security. I have used CHC products in a clinical setting and they were amazing.
