How are people being notified? Is it a 1:1? Does that mean if I don't have one scheduled, I'm safe? Or is it some other way?

Look for the signs.
- did you get an invite for a 1:1 with HR cc'd?
- did you get an invite for a 1:1 with a VP you don't know?
- did you get an invite for a 1:1 that you can't forward?
- did you get an invite for a 1:1 without the faintest clue what the meeting is about?
If #1, 2,3 or 4 is a match, you might want to be extra cautious.
