Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

BRG - what was the point?

I would like to understand the rationale behind the BRG group initiative. How did it measure the performance and potential of the selected group? How did it affect the costs and benefits of working remotely or internationally? I feel confused by the mixed signals we are getting about our work arrangements. On one hand, we are told we can work from anywhere in the US, but not abroad. On the other hand, we are encouraged to expand our global presence, but discouraged from working from home in the US. Can you please clarify this situation?
I am also concerned about how this affects the employees with disabilities who have thrived in the work from home environment. It seems unfair and insensitive to force them to return to the office or file ADA requests every six months, with no guarantee of approval. How are you addressing this issue and ensuring their well-being and inclusion? Doesn’t this violate the HIPAA privacy rules or create a potential EEOC complaint?

What are you talking about with regard to expanding our global presence?

@cmm+1rcbm4di Just a longtime, well-respected sales leader, not HR/PR, and a millennial to boot. Welcome to corporate America, here are some truths, like it or not. Unfortunately, you don’t get to make decisions at this level, nor does your opinion matter. You are an at-will employee. Rise up in your role or to a new role where your opinions can make a difference. Whining is just that….whining. If this isn’t your cup of tea, find a work environment that is. There will be more talk of RTO, join the upcoming calls. Simply providing advice to speak with HR about your situation, as this site is about layoffs. Again, best of luck with your situation.

Oh contraire @pwx+1rcbm4di. The bank has been. Radio silent since they dropped the first rto bo-b. They turned off comments and are all just pointing the blame upwards. We don’t have a place to talk about this — by design.

Also everyone knows hr is only there to protect the company, not the employees.

sounds like you’re on HR staff or PR — because who responds like that?

Sounds like you should take your questions and concerns to HR. This is hardly the place to receive adequate career advice based on your individual circumstances. Good luck with your fight.
