I’m on the fence. I would he better off keeping my job, but I also wouldn’t mind having the spring & summer to recharge/retool before jumping back into the job search.
I guess I’m indifferent.

If there was a voluntary layoff sign up sheet, my name would be at the top of the list! I'm so burnt out. Way too much work, manipulation, drama, and uncertainty, especially over the last few years. Plus, the higher I move up in the company, the more I hear what managers really think of band 1-2 and it's pretty disheartening.
I wish but I’m in MA and I really don’t expect a lot of lay-offs prior to the move. I know some people are skeptical of what the FAQ says and still expect lay-offs, but that’s not really logical.
If you are released, be thankful you no longer are subject to the toxicity of Cigna.
Yes MA staff can still be laid off from now until the sale, but it's less likely especially for backend staff which was already gutted in 2023.
Yes that’s if you are still with Cigna at the time of the move! You can still be let go form now until then!
On the FAQ page it says directly if you’re under Chris, you’ll be moving to HCSC
"locked in place" meaning I can't go back and leave MA for Other Cigna department. MA staff are not allowed to jump ship to Commercial, Express Scripts, or any other part of Cigna.
No one "for sure" they are moving HCSC yet, but there are specific teams have a high likelihood of moving.
OK, to the MA poster that said you feel relieved that you are now "locked in place", do you mean because you know for sure you are moving to HCSC? And how do you know that?
I have been with Cigna 12 years and hoped to retire from here in 10 more years. But the work culture has been steadily worsening for the last few years. I would welcome the opportunity to get out with the soft landing of severance.
Been at Cigna many years and would love to take severance and try something new. Now I got something to look forward to. I moved to MA a year ago and I am now "locked in place", but got something to look forward to. New company, new Culture, new benefits, plus a payout from Cigna smaller than severance (i think), but it's something. I know not all of my MA colleagues feel the same (depending on department and role), but I actually feel more relaxed and at ease knowing I will be leaving. It's better than the anxiety of not knowing anything and wondering.
