If the acquisition of Discover goes through, this place will be unbearable. It already is a stressful place to work at. Can you imagine the chaos, waves of layoffs, extra pressure, more workload, new levels of the terrible treatment of employees for months on end if the deal is sealed?

Discover boasts USA agents right? Last I heard from associates still with the company they were moving many jobs to call centers not only in the phillipines, Africa, and Mexico and that mass layoffs were not just tech.
Their systems weren’t friendly a few years ago when they took over accounts. Before I left they were building a new program for front line use that was seemingly horrific.
If it goes through the downstream impact will last fir 10 years. I've experienced what a large merger is like. Complete chaos.
Agree. If thing are this bad now, just wait until the artificial timelines created by clueless, a$$ kissing directors and above who are not in their positions because of competency and knowledge are forced on the people who actually make the company work. Glad I left.
