Does anyone know what software/solution Wells Fargo uses to track our activities on our company end points?
Is it an internal program WF built them selves?

Not only mouse movement detection but its AI-drive engine can try to figure out if the desktop activity is organic or not. It can also take periodic desktop screenshots and analyze them. Only some LOBs are running it though for now.

Exactly. There was a time during my career where I was relatively production oriented and tracking clicks might actually be useful. These days in my current role I spend a good amount of time thinking, analyzing, and meeting people face to face. You're not going to see a lot of mouse clicks at times. It would be very difficult information to legitimately act upon.
I also think about the company monitoring our activity. They probably do it, but I'm not sure how they could ever act on that information. It's not easy firing employees for cause. To avoid lawsuits, the company would have to prove that you were not working. There are many legitimate work activities that don't involve typing or mouse movements.
Just brace yourself, because they’ll use any and every excuse to can us in favor of streetsh1tters for $0.25 an hour.
Just do what you are supposed to be doing and you don’t need to worry about it. There are many ways WF tracks employee activity on equipment and in office.
Not every running process shows up in Windows task manager (including the processes tab).
For example, key logging software is usually made to not appear in task manager.
Don't ever look at that list of running processes and think that it's for sure complete.
Having said all that, if there's monitoring software (whether completely hidden or not), the company would have to give you at least some indication as to how they know what you're doing. Your manager can't just say "I know you've been slacking" and leave it at that without any backup. They can be vague and acknowledge the existence of monitoring software without getting into details.

Look at what processes are running on your laptop. Then search on Google what they are.

It doesn’t matter if it is a mechanical mouse jiggler or not. They can be detected.
No one just keeps moving their mouse around for extended periods of time without clicking or typing.

A mouse jiggler is unnecessary at a company that says offline random conversations by the water cooler are critical for success. It's the ultimate get out of jail free card on this subject. Don't waste your money on these things, all they are is an excuse to fire you without severance and I, for one, am getting paid to leave.

Whether plugged into your laptop or not, mouse jigglers/movers are easily detected bc they have predictable movements. Anyone who tells you otherwise (e.g., Amazon seller claiming their product is undetectable) is lying or naive.
Examples of red flags:
- Always shows you online/active.
- Repeats a pattern of mouse movements (either clicks or drags/slides).
- Doesn't employ randomized breaks (appearing yellow or red).
All of the above are not indicative or real/normal mouse usage.
WF has invested in the same tech other leading corporations are using. They are very effective can/do lead to write-ups (corrective actions) and terminations. Since using them is considered fraud (read Employee Handbook), immediate termination (no seberance, etc.) s/b no surprise.
Mouse movers do not connect to laptop. The pointer moves as if you nudged it. WF cannot detect it.

i know they are monitoring mouse clicks - someone said something about a "mouse mover" that was recording an enormous amount of clicks per minute.
Why? What nefarious things are you considering?
They are looking for ANY reason to terminate for cause.
They need to cut layoff costs and that's the only sure-fire way.
We are not meant to know all the metrics. Where would be the sadistic fun in that?
