Terrible culture and constant fear of layoffs are only the tip of the iceberg. My mental health has deteriorated significantly since I joined two years ago and I can't even imagine how it is for some of my older coworkers. I believe changing jobs is the only way to go. I can't see the situation here improving any time soon.

I haven’t seen a pulse survey in a while. 🤔
Cigna is ABSOLUTELY terrible for Mental Health. The metrics are close to requiring us to be robots, yet when they bring in new Bot Technology it's always quirkiness and needing to be fixed, causing us additional work. We're constantly under pressure to perform in a fast paced environment, and if we don't sell our souls and bend over backwards to make cigna a priority you can forget a good raise. The roles that receive worthwhile bonuses are often people who don't know their own job and rely on lower bands to explain/guide them on how to do their work while those people get absolutely NOTHING. Been w the company 10 yrs, and I can say without a doubt that my own mental health has been HEAVILY impacted by this company. Main reason I stay is because of work from home, and the pto; granted the pto is needed because they BURN OUT THEIR EMPLOYEES

Glad to know, coming from ESI previously 2 years ago, that culture has been bad since then. Our team was placed with Cigna and basically left to atrophy. We had been through mergers and 'scaling for growth' losing teammates and managers prior to this. The last 2 years have been miserable, with Cigna senior mgmt providing zero direction and giving no real direction... like they didn't know which way they were going except 'drive to 2025' which no leader could adequately explain.
This site is a safe space for people to air their frustrations. This is validation for many who feel alone on their team. Some may not want to dump all of this on loved ones or don’t have a trusted person at work and frankly, it’s hard to explain how bad it is to others unless they’ve experienced it themselves. May we all receive grace navigating a difficult workplace.
“How about stop griping and go find a new job.”
Nah…I think I will stay here and complain.
Thaaaaanks!!!
This site is bad for mental health if you ask me. How about stop griping and go find a new job.
If my manager could do basic math, that would make everyone’s life easier.
I was told those who report under DeRosa have started going at each other. Not surprised.

The last 2 years have been horrible, to say the least. Morale has gone out the window and the closeness and team atmosphere have suffered greatly. Teams that have worked together for years and have delivered high visibility projects, disbanded. You aren’t to question anything or give your opinion. Losing critical knowledge and skills and no one seems to care. I’ve never experienced anything quite like this and it’s just sad.
today after asked a manager a question regarding something they requested I work on, I was asked “do you not know how to read or something?”. Shameful to speak to working professionals this way. I wouldn’t expect children to be spoken to in this regard let alone an adult. We’re regularly told that if we want to leave, no one will stop us. if you vocalize normal chit chat such as “todays been quite the day!” You’ll be shut down and met with “so quit no one asked you to be here.” this job has been demeaning and at times a shot to self-esteem. Having Cigna on your résumé should be a badge of honor, but at times lately it feels like an embarrassment.
The culture has certainly took a nosedive the last 2 years.
