Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Effort doesn't equal results

RTO doesn't necessarily address most of Fords current problems. Ford has had quality and cost issues for a lot longer than the remote work policy. RTO is primarily a knee jerk reaction to persistent problems combined with local, state, and federal government pushing it for economic reasons. It's basically the equivalent of a manager walking into a work space and calling everyone out because of one worker that's sc--wing around. The biggest problem at Ford is management - the lack of leadership. Constant reorganizations, creating jobs to protect the top-heavy management teams jobs, and Ford is so busy reacting to it's competitors they can't possibly chart their own course. The overzealous investment in EV's and significant scaling back of ICE products followed by the current full power reversal is a testament to that. That's absolutely a leadership problem and no one else's. Ford needs to get back to doing what it did when it became a company - lead the industry.

@2xsj
Put your phone down and go clean up the spill in isle 3 that you were asked to take care of an hour ago. This site is for Ford employees.

I actually work less now that I’m in office. Commute on company time. It’s what they wanted!

E = rP^2

effort = results * prophet squared.
With good old fashioned effort result and prophet can save any company ////////
This somewhat old economic formula is not easy to achieve but when a company does their success is limitless ////////

Nail on Head! If you can meet and exceed your personal objectives, but if the execs fail, you fail. What is the point 42.

Bingo with a major edit. Include the Board of Directors who have oversight of everything and are accountable for nothing. As a lump-sum retiree, I'm concerned along with current employees and dealers. We should be thankful the economy is strong which gives us a little time to fix our core issues...no time to waste! Good Luck!

Totally agree OP. We were told the RTO was necessary since they tracked quality had gone down since 2020. Well, who took over as CEO in 2020???? Management is useless. They can barely manage let alone lead which is a whole different skill set that none of them possess

The management are self absorbed that believe they have been chosen for their intelligence. 80% of supervision, LL6, LL5+ could never make it at an outside company especially at their present rate.

Ford still top heavy and will keep making bad decisions.
