Thread regarding USAA layoffs

The morale is terrible here

I'm thinking of getting a new job elsewhere just so I can work somewhere with a better atmosphere. This is not healthy.

I've seen gulags with less oppressive brainwashing than the bolshevik propaganda USAA shovels.

I left USAA nearly a year and a half ago because I felt my pay did not meet industry standards for my level, qualifications, and results. I received two offers from companies we all know very well while I was still employed USAA. I negotiated a 23% salary increase with 100% remote position and a promotion to director. Life has been awesome since then. In USAA, all I remember was the constant reorganizing that went on with execs coming and going every few months and the occasional elimination of roles. That literally happened each of my four years with company. One could never assume sure footing while there. I now feel healthier than ever because I left that place. I am thankful for the good friends I met while there (many of whom I am still in contact to this day). I hope things get better for you all. You deserve better.

Count me in the camp of left USAA (in IT) recently and a few weeks in I feel so refreshed and alive again. I hope for all of my great friends that things get better but I wouldn’t return for any salary until Wayne and Amala are gone. For all my friends that I know living in anguish still there, I hope that isn’t too far off. But believe me, it’s beautiful being outside those walls now. If you have options to leave, 10 of 10, would recommend.

I left after the bonus paycheck, I start at Comerica on 4/22, same job I was doing, lateral pay, but I’m 100% remote.

What morale? This place has become a sh-t show. Prisoners have more freedom and better benefits than we do.

I was let go and it was a blessing in disguise. For the longest I thought the money was worth it but wanted to leave as well. I needed that push out the door because I was too nervous to do it myself. It had 100% been so good on my mental health I feel so much lighter

I left USAA 4 months ago and I couldn't be happier. NO BS. I'm healthier, and overall thriving again. Once that anchor and all the baggage comes off your back you're a new man/woman. Truly. Be free my friends!

Leaving USAA late last year dramatically improved my overall happiness and sense of wellbeing. No job is worth constant frustration or anxiety!
