I worked in Storage capability and the director was top notch, no complaints. My people manager before I retired was great too. But their hands were tied, and they couldn't give the most knowledgeable storage architects a merit pay increase.
I was lucking my 2nd year with DXC I received less than a 1% increase and the year before I retired a 3.5% increase.
Two increases in 12 years, every other company I worked for in my 49+ years in Data Processing I had received at least 1 pay increase each year and they all were greater than 6%
Why did I stay, well they gave me purpose, I worked from home before COVID , I liked the people on my team, I gave it my all day in day out. All but 1 year my manager said I was doing above and beyond. That 1 year the people manager was an a$$-hole and didn't know sh-t. Glad He left the company before I did.
Retired now and loving it! 3 Cost of living increases.
To others don't just complain here, Reply to DXC Posts on X, Facebook and most important Linkedin, show the world how bad your traeated.
Spot on that's the DXC values.
Some an-l leaders aspire to them. That's why until there's a big clear out of middle managers nothing will change.
