Thread regarding USAA layoffs

More layoffs on Wednesday

I'm going to assume that layoffs are not done. Does anybody know which groups will be hit tomorrow?

Layoffs only happen on days of the week that end in "y".

Layoffs happen Tuesday - Thursday. Even here. If you don't know that, you haven't been paying attention.

I was laid off on a Thursday, so they aren’t always Tuesdays.

All the leads in marketing.

It was all predictable when entire marketing org was busy tracking nonsensical metrics, such as number of likes on Twitter posts… likes don’t lead to customer acquisition when the product su-ks 💀

Layoffs won't be done until... yeah, I don't want to say.
Let's just say the road to competitiveness is a long one, and we don't have the strategic vision in the C-suite to follow it. They don't even know what their real problems are, and as long as they keep listening to the blowhard management consultants they are just going to keep missing the point. Because empty suits from McKinsey don't share in our Mission. And they don't have any frameworks that the Mission fits into either. All they have is brand liquidating, profit maximizing "good hands or boxing gloves". There is literally nothing a McKinsey consultant won't destroy in search of short term profits. Even whole industries. This simple fact apparently eludes everyone on the board and in the C-suite.
