Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Lessons were not learned from 2023

Looks like we are in for the long haul of waiting for the shoe to drop. Confirmed by the new CS&D questions and answers meeting even in US restructuring will go on until q1 2025. Cruel and unusual punishment if you ask me. Keeping our lives and that of our families in Limbo for that long of a time.

When we all know that much of this is age discrimination in the NA region. Why are we not looking at class action lawsuit?

We should.

“the restructuring will go into 2025 because SAP will be monitoring the RTO. If you do NOT comply to the RTO they will be able to terminate you without any kind of severance.”

They are going to have top executives monitoring badge swipes while driving their clown cars at the circus? I hope that they they don’t hit any tigers while doing this!

SAP is the new CISCO! 5% cut every year for 10 years as they try to transform from a Hardware to software! the talent left early on, all that was left was dead wood! This is pretty much the fate of SAP right now!

Why do people post completely off topic replies to threads instead of starting their own?!

eh, not sure about that. I'm in favor of diversity and inclusion.

I'm not sure what JW contributes to the company, but she's not the only one. Our chief design officer seems to just go on PR tours around the world and on linkedin to say obvious things. I'd like to see our executives focus on something done rather than touring the globe, especially when essential but non-customer-facing travel is still not being approved for most other employees.

Get rid of the DEI department, and the people who blast out endless emails for the Pan Asian community, and others. People like JW who brag about their kids being non binary and do nothing except divide the workforce based on diversity topics that no one cares about

It's to allow for business continuity, you see your important enough to cause a big problem if you leave but too expensive too keep when you can get someone living in a favella to do the job instead

I’d say that this whole experience is a clown show…But I’m not amused and I don’t think that anyone else is either! It’s nervewracking to go through this completely mismanaged debacle!

No clarity on this. Have heard rumors that this is the 8000 dragged on through Q1 2025 due to country-specific consultations and regulations.

Anyone’s best guess at this point.

Was on this call and completely confused, thought i'd misheard/he misspoke. TS said it was communicated, where has this been communicated anywhere, how is it just coming up in a q+a session, when did Q1 2024 become Q1 2025?

I'm confused about this, does this mean a fresh round in q1 2025, or that a stagnated approach to getting rid of the 8000 roles announced this year?
