They had trouble with the unions …. But they took corrective action (something Intel can learn from).
TSMC will have more capacity in the US than Intel by the end of the decade.

Too many PEs, Senior PEs, Fellows doing grade 8 work (especially in NEX in Austin, Texas under Sachin Katti)! Fire them including Sachin Katti his direct reports and downgrade all the PEs, Senior PEs, Fellows to grade 8-9!!!
Govt investing in TSMC here locally so that when TSMC here in USA is ready, they can allow china to take over taiwan without any issues. And the USA may not even have to put boots on ground when taiwan invasion happens. And taiwan sees this investment as a continued reinforcement of USA being an ally to Taiwan.

Why should the government favor Intel?
They should allocate funds to anyone building in the US. TSMC is better positioned to actually grow a US presence vs. Intel’s pipe dreams and PowerPoint decks.
