Walking away from the labor force with $615K in cash for my 18 years of service. T-Mobile seems like a dream to me now after 6 months. Sad, I started with Voicestream where everybody and even the country and company seemed happy, and now its a dour depressing place. Such is the path of life. How excited we all were in 2004 and 2005.

You can't live off 600k for 30+ years.
@2xsy posting just 6 months into the orange pedofiles term and orices have sky rocketed. Great prediction, you mouth breathing dopey dipsh-te
615k in 401k or cash?
Who gets that much cash?
If you're in your early 40's (just a guess based on 18 years service) then you better start eating Oatmeal as your main meal.
While $615k might sound like a decent amount it's a lot less after taxes and Bidenflation.
P.s., it's sad how this country has fallen in 3 years with no end in sight (at least until November '24).
My bags are packed and ready to go. Definitely retiring if laid off. I'm even open to trading position of someone to be laid off.
My numbers are similar. Good luck.
Voicestream was sold in 2001, T-Mobile launched it's brand in 2002 - 18 years ago (from 2023) was T-Mobile.
Hope that is 615k in a diversified portfolio and not just sitting in a bank account
615k not a bad chunk of change.. seems you’ve made some good decisions along the way and you will clearly be successful down the road.. no need to look at the past when the future is ahead and the present is where your spirit lives..
Bye!
