Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

Good bye bonus rumor

Anyone else hearing that PNR is going to give a bye bye bonus of around 50k on May 10? And then XOM giving out a sign on bonus of around 50k if you accept offer? Supposedly the 50k from XOM is so that they can pay field personnel less and cut their hours. PO’s make stupid money at PNR and XOM has realized it. They can’t come close to what PO’s are getting now.

Funnier than Joe Biden eating ice cream. Take the word bonus out of your vocabulary. Your being thrown back into the real world where all your going to get is your job. And guess what, your going to smile with that fake little grin and brown nose some more in Houston. Bonus smh

$50k is disappointing?!? I hope you're being sarcastic.

If someone stole your right kidney, that's literally the black market street price they'd sell it for. STFU.

Denbury here, XOM was lucky our '23 bonus was so high and split to pay half in Dec and half in early March and the pro-rated '24 bonus paying May 1st upon conversion or severance. That even spacing worked as a retention bonus without having to give us more. Then our new salaries had to at least include all that bonus as the new base. All the "extra" money every couple months has felt good, but it's not actually extra, XOM didn't have to decide to contribute any of that themselves, just spaced out what we had already coming to us.

This is comical….Mark these words—There will be ZERO retention bonus!

Denbury folks thought that same thing and have gotten nothing. They only got what was contractually obligated to them—not a cent more. I did hear though Denbury got some good salaries from XOM.

Expect a pro-rated 1.5x target bonus paid out at close. Not an arbitrary $50k...

50K sign-on from XOM sounds really light and disappointing honestly.

So much BS flying around it's wild lol. I guess it's what you get when there's zero transparency from either company.
