Everything Feels… Suspicious

Evernorth affiliate here. This week has been an utter s*** show. With each passing day the workload grows while management passive aggressively tells us to adjust or else. I have a bad feeling that this will only get worse. What is the end goal of all these ridiculous, nonsensical changes?

It feels like they are trying to amp up the toxicity and pressure so we will quit. It’s working because I want to quit ASAP but would like to have a job lined up. Us lower band workers are drowning.

The more micromanagement minded, mean spirited and controlling the manager the more likely the are to be promoted to director around here, it's clear what the company values as far as qualities in our "leadership."

Totally agree, get out while you can. My mental health suffered significantly last year due to a toxic work environment and a toxic manager. Higher ups don't really care and that is apparent since this toxic manager was just promoted to a director after I had 3 ER cases against him last year.

I got out a year ago and love my job, company and manager now.

So many of us are with you in that matter. No job should make us feel that way. Get out now. I am actively trying. The job market is competitive. Start applying asap. Do it for your family, your kids, and most importantly for YOURSELF. Your mental health matters. Don’t allow the job to break you.

I’ve cried every single morning the past two weeks - the stress is unbearable and the dread I feel every morning is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. My husband is begging me to find another job. By the end of each day I am so depleted that I can’t even talk to him or my kids. I can’t believe it’s become so awful. I used to love helping people with their MH struggles and now I’m the one struggling.
