There's so much toxic leadership that care more about playing politics to protect themselves than actually improving things. The number of times they preach in a town hall unity, collaboration, "we all one team & I want to know about it if a manager isn't following that mindset." Then you're flat out told by your managers to do the exact opposite, preached an "us vs them" mindset and overlook high performers if they aren't part of their club while protecting their buddies that don't do half the work.
Many of us have tried to speak out to skip levels: Director & Managing Directors; even tried HR Reps. None of it did anything. Is there anyone with power willing to listen to employees that want to improve things and call out poor leadership?

CIO doesn't even have a STEM background.
No they don’t care. Nicole Eder has created a very toxic and cutthroat culture where leaders insulate themselves from the truth of what’s going on. So different from the days of Mark Boxer.
This is by design. Cigna is a very vertical power based organization. Flattening and collaboration on equal footing would undermine the power structure. When we are getting laid off, it is a sign that upper management sees us as expendable resources, not valuable people. Leaders gaslight and use corporate speak thinking that we will just believe what they say and ignore what actually happens. No one in power at Cigna cares or is willing to risk their big paycheck to do what is right for employees so don’t expect anyone in power to do anything.
