My working day may not be your working day, please do not feel obliged to read or reply to this email outside of your normal working hours.

With this, all my emails end & I'm a Snr. Director @Oracle

In Dev you cannot avoid working extended hours. They will make you work by giving some or the other excuse.

Oh my boss doesn’t work evening or weekends. His boss does, so when he needs something he calls or texts me, and yet my boss is still here. Oh he hasn’t worked a full day much less week since he started. And even if he did answer his phone after hours he would just make me do the work anyway.

It was a good hoax. Now I’m done. I’ve had enough of this. Leave me alone and I’ll leave you alone. There’s nothing else I can do anyway.

Oracle mgmt contacts employees outside hours cause they have no friends, are drunk or on dr-gs cause they have no friends. This one loser I worked for used to call me and I would never be near my phone. When he did speak to me, it was easily something he could’ve texted. Poor sap thought I gave a sh-t about him. No one cares about oracle mgmt.

Legal fact - you cannot contract you or others to what would be contrary to en-force law(s). For example - if it is illegal to do X, you cannot have a contract that says you can do X, it would be moot due to the law.

Abusive behavior is never a victims fault but tolerating the behavior and not voicing is !!!

Companies can have employees sign a contract to be contacted outside of 9-5 in order to bypass legislation.

“ Work hard, you are running out of time.”

So if you’re not working late you’re not working hard enough?

How about “Don’t work late, you are running out of time.”

Europe and Canada got those laws already. Doesn't prevent my boss to contact me in Canada though, but it's for emergency production issues, and it's a work from home, so it doesn't even matter.

Your next job say you are hourly and time clock yourself. Weekend and after hours mean more $$$$z. Especially for a place that is always “on fire”.
