Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

We are a top 10 producer!

Chevron was named 8th in the world in terms of CO2 emissions in a recent study. We are even dirtier than PetroChina, amazingly.

I’m a Top 10 Producer too. Around 9:30 every morning after downing my usual 4 breakfast tacos in the cafeteria, I head up to the toilet on the 30th floor to produce what some day will turn into crude oil.

Heck yes. I am doing my part by leaving my V8 idling in the HO1401 parking garage all day. I have to gas it up at lunch but totally worth it to have it at the perfect temperature for the commute home.

So by definition, we are one of the Top 10 reasons people on this planet have come to enjoy and expect a modern, comfortable lifestyle. That's pretty good!

We are 7th in terms of size and production base, so being 8th in CO2 emission makes sense. Not sure where you got Petrochina figures, the run a large number of coal bed methane fields. May be they forgot to disclose that :)

Tell me you don’t understand the carbon cycle without telling me

You are a m0r0n. Why don't you ban volcanoes?

or blame lazy phytoplankton for not su-king up more C02?

Man thinks that it can control what Nature does. FOAD it will say.
