Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Systems safety on different planets

Typical Jimmy Brady instructing folks to do changes out of hours when the muddle managers are forcing the folks to do the work in hours so they don't have to pay overtime/out of hours pay.

Seems like they need to make thier minds up you cant have it both ways.

Decide who is in charge, this is what happens when you have too many layers and mini empires built by managers.

@1jsh+1rRsL9qJ Less than 30K year, then go find another job to see if they will pay you more. I bet you can't and that's why your still at DXC. You don't deserve any more. 30K even people selling fast food make more than you.

"We never got out of hours pay here in the US. Your expected to work what ever hours neeeded to get the job done. We are IT professionals and understand some day you need to work off hours as not to affect the client"

Are you serious? I'm not working past my contracted hours unless I'm getting paid for those extra hours. I don't make enough on less than 30k a year to do that otherwise and we never get the time back in holiday leave.

It's just another catch 22, you'll be dismissed for making changes, or you'll be dismissed for not doing anything. Change control is just box ticking. Who actually reviewed the change? Who thinks it's a good idea having someone throw a change at a server as the last thing they do before logging off for a bank holiday!? And now the clients won't ask for changes because DXC won't do anything without a formal project. So years of ni----s that would take minutes to fix and delight the customer cannot be done. And you wonder why nobody is renewing with DXC.
