Hey HR, your comment is so obvious. Anyone who works at TFS knows what a horror show this company is. Constant layoffs. Brown nosers being promoted. Jobs going to India and Costa Rica.

Everyone I know is looking for another job to get out of this poorly run, crooked company.

Not surprised. They are shifting to hiring more in Latin America and certain European countries. They are less expensive than hiring North American employees.

Seems like they are clearing out North America staff, especially North American Safety Admins, although EMEA was impacted as well. Their plan looks to be using APAC and Lat America staff. Within the past month, 4 safety admins were hired in Latin America. They started making management changes at the beginning of March.

SAM is safety admin manager. There were more Admin layoffs in other PV areas as well.

What is CRG, NA, PV, AD, SAM? I work for Thermo Fisher Scientific and have no idea what all these acronyms mean. I also tried to google and could not find any helpful answer.

CRG just laid off 20 NA PV safety admins, and AD and possibly two SAMs.

CRG Centralized Monitoring meeting email was a false alarm- it was only to introduce the new head of the department.

Just got an “Org Update” invite for tomorrow morning and it’s 15 mins long. 2 HR people on the invite and sent to whole centralized monitoring department. Will report back tomorrow if I still have a job.

Worst company in the world! They keep the most incompetent brown nosers, outsource work to the 3rd world and pretend the company isn’t falling apart.

@vdh+1rRQ3ZiF Thermo Fisher Scientific has created this type of environment for their employees. What do you expect?

The strategy is cuts across various areas, various times, low key, hush hush, most not really WARN worthy. Can happen anytime, anywhere the company operates (globally). You won’t see them in the news. See another post here: https://www.thelayoff.com/post/@OP+1qVZhaX0 - Constant Cuts.

I don’t think anyone would be surprised by another round. We just had round four in 5 quarters back in early March (right before bonuses). Why are you saying another big round though? We’re 1 wk into Q2, are the numbers that bad? Add in what department? Across the board? Worldwide? The sky is falling why? Where?

Unless you can provide specific areas impacted, timeframe, magnitude this kind of thing is useless. Worse than useless, it's just making people scared and uncomfortable for the sake of it.

Without details this is cruel and unnecessary.
