With layoffs constantly hanging over our heads, everything has turned into competition instead of cooperation. Personally, I think it makes no difference. No matter what you do, if the numbers make sense to those on top, you'll be gone. Making enemies out of your coworkers will only come back to bite you in the behind down the road.

Post ID: @qfj+1rSIAXRE As others have posted, your Co-workers are Not your friends. Co-workers will throw each other under the bus and to the wolves to protect their jobs or jobs they may want in the future. All of the Bullsh!t time wasting fake camaraderie, get-to-know-you better activities and events are so very transparent. And since Citi grades/rates based on a curve why help your Competition, your Co-Workers??? Doing so will negatively affect your salary increases, bonuses and promotion prospects. These employee behaviours in turn negatively affect Citi and its Shareholders in a vicious cycle that Citi started. Once a paycheck is involved, You are No longer my friend. You're at best my business partner or Co-worker No matter how nice you are to my face. by Anonymous Post ID: @nmh+1rSIAXRE
Post ID: @OP+1rJfLLMj This is some of the reasons why prople do Not share knowledge, information or details and/or do Not want to train other employees. We can become fungible or replaceable. These are also some of the reasons why people hoard and do Not share work. Everyone is competing against everyone else. It's every man, woman, whatever for themselves. Employers tout the Teamwork or we're a Team BULLSH!T but we're rewarded and judged as individuals. If anyone tells you to train a new "Resource", be careful and do Not share or disclose everything you know, just the bare minimum. by Anonymous Post ID: @1qed+1rJfLLMj
Your so called friends, colleague, cooperators will bite you, stab you in your back no matter what you do unless you are in power. I have experienced more than ten times in Citi.
Citi ranks on a bell curve so why help your competitors??!
How do you navigate in this environment if ethics and integrity mean a lot to you?
Well said.
