I tell my customers to go to our competition because CenturyLink is committed to providing customers with poor service. CenturyLink hates its customers. The only thing management hates more than its customers is its employees.

The 1st guys post is right on.
I've always told the people I work with.
If you're not happy working here. You need to move on and not wait for things to happen.
I tried for years to support the company and pay for the products.
After they overcharged me almost $3000 and would not (could not) fix the billing, I left and had to cancel all products. Ironically, then and only then they resolved my billing issue 2 months later (with a personal who could actually fix things).
Since then I've had other services which are sad to say -- reliable and faster.
Never gone back.
Obviously you have no control of how this company is doing things but the one thing anyone can control is by not lowering yourself to that same level. Personally, when someone says that to me to go to a competitor it make me want to do that at the very last if ever.
To throw dirt on anyone or company just puts you in a place which appears uneducated, guilty about something, or something else. Even if what they say is true. There is a right way and wrong way. Do not get me wrong I think ALL of us should post what we know as facts to enlighten everyone.
Trust me I do get how you feel. I’ve wanted to say that a 1000x over the past 11yrs I’ve worked here. Or when customer complains about a supervisor and so hard not to say the truth about the sup. When all said and done those still standing and have a job it’ll be time to decide if you will ride the wave until the next round or between now and then start looking for a job. Stay 5 steps ahead and do not let anyone or Kate ruin your life and career.
