Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Employee appreciation week

So tomorrow is last day for senior leadership to celebrate employee appreciation week.

Are they going to let us log off early tomorrow to celebrate and to show their appreciation?

So, you want a slap in the face? Try being one of the excommunicated but still needing to check in to find a "you're so valued and appreciated" email for EAW. Really brought up a lump in my throat.

For employee appreciation week, my site called in a small catering company for a site lunch. However, it was not free. Employees had to pay for items a la carte.
Talk about a slap in the face.

We were asked to send meaningless e-cards to each other. Essentially being asked to appreciate ourselves while the bank did nothing, which is not only ironic but also feels insincere. It's a missed opportunity for USBank to genuinely recognize and appreciate the efforts of the employees. Instead, it adds to the overall feeling of being undervalued and unheard. I don't need their free lunches and activities to show me how the appreciate my work. I need a fair pay and choice to work from home, that's all.

As an employee who wasn't particularly enthusiastic about Employee Appreciation Week to begin with, I must say it was quite bad this year. The timing couldn't have been worse with the recent announcement of returning to the office, which the majority of us are against.
Trivial content on the website that did little to boost morale. Hearing about colleagues in Europe having a red carpet (yes, red carpet) at the entrance. They feel very appreciated for sure. This week was like a slap in the face, given the circumstances. It's disheartening to see management miss the mark so completely when it comes to showing genuine appreciation for our hard work. Overall, the week's events left me feeling more dejected than appreciated.

My department got free donuts and coffee on one day. And it was a day I wasn't in the office. Nothing else all week. Great way to appreciate your employees, U.S. Bank!

I have never felt so unappreciated during employee appreciation week. Nothing other than lunch served by the same old place that is always there during the collaboration days serving the same mediocre but expensive food. No activities. Nothing special at all. But the hybrid people got to start their 3 days a week in the office that week. That is the appreciation the hybrids got! Thanks US Bank! How they get most ethical awards every year is beyond me. They have to be paying someone off for that award!

Check the box, employee appreciation week was concluded successfully with no measurable or substantive efforts to recognize the efforts of anybody in any department or business line, no lunch, no snacks, no

Departments are still reeling from layoffs concluded in March, first quarter results are due mid April, many more layoffs being organized to push any non customer facing jobs or functions to the Philippine Islands, eliminate as many U.S. employees as practical without letting the customers, the depositors, the borrowers, the cardholders or the merchant customers or the institutional shareholders know or be impacted by outsourcing essential functions, try to make a flat quarterly number and a dismal leadership team look good,

Regrettably, other banks and double digit growth do not have to stoop to such practices,

Rolling my eyes all the way to Antarctica with this one. They create this pointless so called “appreciation” week but they do not appreciate jack sh-t all the employees do. It’s worthless.

Nothing yet. There’s still a chance because there is 1 day left for them to appreciate us.
