They should have it flexible, so people who want to be in an office can go, but people aren’t required to go. It’s just micromanagement from the top down. People proved all through Covid that they can work full-time remote while still being completely productive. And their RTO claim of “being collaborative” in the office is trash. People literally go into the office and sit on teams calls with people in other offices. Complete disaster.

More complaining from CVS who don’t want to work, don’t want to go to the office, want promotions and raises. Yeah executives are the problem not the army of do nothings su-king up air space in the middle.
Outside of empty office buildings there is a lack of income tax to the state of RI, likely impacting tax incentives for CVS.

Is that just speculation that the RTO is a passive way to reduce the workforce by getting people to either leave / be fired for not being compliant? I find it hard to believe C suite is that out of touch with how undesirable RTO is for employees. It might be commercial real estate related, but I wonder how long they will keep the ridiculous policy going.
Those that refuse to RTO will be the first to be reduced in the fall when Sr Leaders have to manage another RIF.
