I think ATOS is just the first domino to fall tbh.
Quite how far the falling goes is anyone's guess but I suspect that in a few years there will be just one left standing.
Its ITO thats the problem, any of the MSP's with ITO will be dragged down unless they ditch their ITO arm.
Somewhere along the like there will become a Microfocus equivalent for ITO, where old junk goes to die. It will be someone who buys all of the ITO from the dying MSP's. That business will be profitable as they squeeze the ever increasing charges out of clients who have nowhere else to go for their legacy junk. Obviously in turn its future is only declining clients but in the meantime its pay day.
Who will be the Junk Collector in the end? Not DXC I suspect, probably Kyndryll
You are bang on. We heard another reorg in the COO org.
We are interested in driving this rickety bullock cart as much as we can, cause you guys are bullocks and as execs we are riding nicely and collecting our big fat pay cheques and our share options. We are also easily gaming the analysts by giving them breadcrumbs - read free cash flow and some positive spin in the insurance business.
We also hire new executives to keep the buzz and discard spent execs (Bagal, saliva no, sharpie pen, di-klewonan etc.). Well they collected their fair share.
Well talking about fair share it is the poor bullocks aka the real delivery guys who service the customers do not get anything but for some real good trainings - if you are smart and capable you would have by this time got trained and certified and ejected.
Muddle management is another breed they are all collecting their salary and staying here cause they cannot get a janitor job outside. We have 13k of them.
Did you guys notice that there are a breed of new vp svp hires who are extremely busy on social media, lickin-din posting and reposting and liking. Bunch of clowns.
We are 13 plus billion in revenue and this grind will go at least for another 4 years
