Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Honeywell recruiters won't leave me alone

My Honeywell manager told me during what would be my final HPD review in '22 that band 4 is "very competetive" and it would be a "few more years" before I would be qualified and ready to make the jump. That was the last straw of a decade of rotten carrots. A month later, I left Honeywell for a band 4 position at a customer/competitor. As of yesterday, I'm just shy of 100 different recruiters (and counting) that have pinged me about going back to Honeywell. And the vast majority of the postions are band 4. I have a perfect record of telling them no. If I wasn't good enough to be a band 4 when I worked at Honeywell, I'm not good enough to do it now.

OP here. As I said before, I already left and am band 4 at a competitor. I don't have to work ridiculous hours, get blamed for garbage suppliers, or put up with the Jack Welsh cult members that took the place over since DC. There isn't anything wrong with me. I wasn't a checkbox "DEI" hire and actually have the skills to be an engineer in tech. And that's why Honeywell keeps trying to get me to return. Honeywell is just one of many companies inquiring about me joining their ranks. My skills never rusted and my resume looks much better with Honeywell in my rear view.

If HW recruiters are contacting you, you need to update your skills and polish your resume. There is clear a problem with any candidate that is sought after by bottom fishers.

Yes, there is a shortage of qualified people at honeywell after accidently laying off all the talent (or high paid workers) who went to competitors stole market share. Then they went to GE to manage the remaining blokes and the GE managers are like lets hire back the pinksliped people.

This isn't good news. You probably think that you're in high demand. Actually, they're so desperate for employees. They're trying to hunt down the old employees.

The only ones that might actually work for them. Offer you a bunch of money. Still treat you the same way they did before.

If you only have a few years to work, see what the headhunters will give you. Then bank it all for retirement.

India-based recruiting frauds often spam relentlessly trying to fill positions at the unWell.

I’m approached a few times a month with usually just a job description and location that provides me a good indicator as to being for HW, which I respond I am not interested if it has anything to do with HW and let them know I understand how tough their job is finding good talent to join that organization. Very sad.

They pay you the absolute minimum to keep you. Only after you leave or threaten to leave do they open the vault. For some people they open it bigly as the orange man would say.

Well done!!! Best career move I have ever made was leaving HoneyHell. No more manufactured PIPs, mega hours, cr-ppy raises and being used!

I really enjoy telling them point blank I would never ever return to that 5hithole and all the reasons why.
Honeywell Band 4 is a complete joke nowadays, I knew so many that were completely useless and who could never get a job anywhere else at that level.
When all the talent left in droves the vacuum was filled with industry failures who then employed further clowns and the desperation to keep their jobs lead to the machiavellian, toxic landscape with have today.
