LINKED IN SCAM Targeting Ex Avaya Employees

Scammers act as if they are either leaders at this new organization OR Pretend to be a Recruiter who represents $2B organization that is a "Start-up" based on a business unit spin off from AT&T.

They CLAIM to offer prospective employees payment for COBRA if they send them $800 PLUS Social Security # and Personal Information. That is how the scam begins. Some poeple have lost thousands of dollars by now.

BE ON HIGH ALERT AND DO NOT FALL FOR SOMETHING THAT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!

I know of at least 4 ex Avayan's who were approached by a purported "recruiter" or encouraged to join by someone who fell for the scam (possibly the reddit poster).

For anyone who believed this before being told by someone else it was a scam, it's astonishing that you want to keep working on any version of technology. Shame on you for lacking even basic scruples. For those of you who chose to not engage with the scammer, you deserve good fortune.

How can anyone claim they are in a position to guide clients if they couldn't see through this?
