Bank Ops svp “retiring”

Another one steps down in such a short period of time. I always wonder if the “spending time with the family” line is true at times. Probably just a smokescreen to cover the real reason they went bye bye.

Hard pressed to call the BRC SVP move a rotational opportunity. If they’re not replacing current Bank President or going to the enterprise to join the C suite, they’re su-king down some major humble pie. A previously failed org under the belt and a current org with a structure that no one can follow clearly that is becoming more irrelevant as the days go on. Who knows, maybe they’ll gain a human personality throughout all this and then it won’t seem like talking to people is something that goes against their programming.

Amazing the rotational opportunities for SVPs, first Thom and now this. I would love to see they would do something for people less fortunate.

Who is the BRC? The Bank Ops executive is Scott Hammagren.

Who is that?

The SVP of operations likely left on their own accord given the state of leadership and state of the bank.

And the BRC change is a joke. They should have been fired a while ago.

The good ol “retiring to spend more time with the family” line. Give it a few months, he probably has a 90 non compete clause or something along that line.

The BRC SVP moving to enterprise for development opportunities? That’s not fishy at all.

Sounds like he either did not get a package (for the privilege of not being fired) or perhaps a small one to stay quiet about all he has seen and heard in the prior year or two. I don't know how many of these situations just may be a retirement (I know I'd be sick about being in management at USAA).

But one surefire way to know if it is a true retirement is whether he joins another company. Give him a year or so to land elsewhere.
