Thread regarding Follett layoffs

May we contact your former employer?

I am curious for those of us that were on the first call and laid off from the get go, are you checking yes, to may we contact your former employer? Or, are you checking No, and providing the work number?

While I found a job very quickly, I am not inclined to keep it, and am looking again.

I too was on the first call, found another job, and it is a dud. I’ve been using Follett people that I’m friends with for this purpose. I don’t bother with home office because we know how well they do things. Sigh

Follett can only verify dates of employment. I used my previous gv.p., a dean at the school and my business contact.

You can run your employment data report with Equifax for free. I am glad I did since Follett had me listed as an Associate, and not Store Manager II. According to Equifax, this gives you more info than the work number. Also, it does not state if Foollett will rehire you or not. Just verifies dates and title.
