Specific survey responses will be kept confidential, but will not be anonymous.

I received it and a colleague in my org did as well. We talked and based on current climate or JEs we opted to put "neither agree or disagree" for every answer. I've been brutally honest for all the years I've worked here. My old leadership has all left. There is no longer any protection for those of us who are honest. We're back to the "old way" of being penalized for honesty. I've been looking for months for a new role and they disappear quickly.
I was one of the lucky ones to receive the Sampled Pulse Survey. I know it's not confidential, nor anonymous but I don't care at this point. I was honest because I am planning to leave the moment I get a new job. The pay here is lousy compared to other health insurance companies plus I have been through 3 reorgs & 3 senior managers in the past 12 months.
They don’t want honest opinions, they want a list of more people to lay-off otherwise they would send the survey to everyone the way they used to and would make it anonymous. They are looking for agreement and compliance, not feedback.
If you got the survey and are worried then do what you need to to protect yourself.
Ugh I got the survey. Usually I’m not afraid of any retaliation or getting fired or anything like that, cause life is so much more than this place. But I was thisclose to being out on a PIP at the beginning of the year; the uppers have been doing funny business w me all year since I told them I need maternity leave later this year. Only a couple months until my leave and I’m trying to hold on until then. This survey makes me paranoid, I’ve been so high on the uppers “radar” this year, why am I the only one on my team getting it….. I was super honest last time we all got one & in 2022 I’m pretty sure I called them out for being micromanaging sociopaths. But I just don’t feel it’s in my best interest to be honest this year. I’m already scared enough they’re trying to axe me before my leave. And I would be FKD, I HAVE to stay at least through my leave.
How can they expect to get honest answers if it’s not anonymous???
"The last half of the survey, I had a lot of benefit questions. Basically out of 4 options rate one most important and one least."
Wouldn't it be some sh-t if they are planning to cut the benefits that we rate the lowest? I mean, why else would they ask?
The last half of the survey, I had a lot of benefit questions. Basically out of 4 options rate one most important and one least.
I'm curious. Was there a question on everyone else's survey about the long term incentive? I got stocks this year for the LTI. First time I've ever received that, and I thought it was odd that I saw a question on the survey like "how satisfied were you with the LTI you received?". Like did they only send the survey to people who received it, or did the questions change based on what each employee received?
What does confidential but not anonymous even mean? Does that mean they will share with your boss but not89 your name?
Well then, if this was just sent to a random 40% of the Enterprise population, what does that say for people that did not get one? Your voice doesn't matter or you're not going to be around long enough to see any particular change should change be forthcoming?
How can they expect full honesty without anonymity? I'm not comfortable with this.
Oh I was very honest with my replies. Sadly very different ratings than what I’ve given two years ago. The entire culture here is disappointing.
We were told it “was a random sample of 40% of employees”… those that received it, please be honest for the sake of us that did not get it and could not voice our opinions.
Nothing changes if nothing changes. If you’re not honest about how you’re currently feeling about the state of the company, you aren’t doing yourself any favors. Anonymous or not, speak your mind. Worst case scenario is they fire you and you can challenge it. If they don’t want the truth, they shouldn’t ask. Be proactive, screen print your responses as a CYA in case of retaliation, which I highly doubt.
I can promise that life is better on the outside looking in.
Why are y'all worried about recourse? If they didn't want an honest answer, then they shouldn't ask for feedback.
Hey all, they are not sending this to everyone because they don't need the "pulse" overall when they can get a small enough (they know is statistically insignificant) sample to claim it is all good. If you get it, please keep in mind the survey is literally anything but anonymous.
There is a blog post on the iris website about the surveys going out. Saw it the other day on the homepage
Odd. I haven’t heard anything about this.
So only a random sampling of people received it?? Odd
It would be in your best interest to take it but place your complaints in a professional manner that you wouldn't be mortified about if your boss found out. For instance, instead of saying. "0/5 Stars - You are all a bunch of evil backstabbing sc-mbags and everyone here hates you!" try saying, "2/5 Stars The culture here has deteriorated since FOW and I it seems like most employees do not feel like Cigna has our best interest at heart anymore." Well, say something more substantial than that, of course, but you get the idea. If you're going to lie and act like everything is great, however, just don't take it.
In response to:
"If you're a Medicare employee don't hold back. We are only Cigna employees for nine more months."
Keep in mind that the sale is not official at this time. A lot can happen in the next nine months. There is a real possibility this deal does not happen. He careful.
If you're a Medicare Employee, don't hold back. We are only Cigna Employees for 9 more months. Might as well let them know how miserable Cigna is regardless if they sold us off or not.
If you blow smoke up their buttons, they'll continue to think they're amazing and that everyone is happy and loyal. They need to know that things have to change! Otherwise they can make us miserable with new policies and sell us off or fire us and continue to underpay many of us, all while bragging about their survey results and our vitality. We all have to be brutally honest or managers think it's just a couple of disgruntled employees. Fudging the surveys doesn't do you any favors!
I never answer honestly because they're not really anonymous. Especially now when things are really obviously bad, better to not say anything than be retaliated against.
Aww Man! I already responded. I let them have it with on this survey.
Noted. Don’t take the pulse survey.
